Q3: What is the maximum load capacity? What glass thickness can it handle?
Standard BILLIONS LIFTER® pneumatic glass vacuum lifters cover 200 kg, 300 kg, 400 kg and 500 kg capacities. They are generally suitable for glass thicknesses from 3 mm to 19 mm. Custom configurations for heavier loads or non-standard glass dimensions are also available.
Q4: What happens if the compressed air supply fails? Will the glass fall?
The glass will not fall immediately. Every BILLIONS LIFTER® air-powered glass vacuum lifting device is equipped with check valves, a vacuum storage tank and a pneumatic safety lock. In the event of an air supply loss, the vacuum is maintained long enough to sound an alarm and allow operators to safely lower or secure the load.
Q5: Can this vacuum lifter be used for loading glass onto an insulating glass (IG) line?
Absolutely. BILLIONS LIFTER® compressed air glass manipulators are designed specifically for loading and unloading glass on IG lines, edge grinding machines, tempering lines and cutting tables. The 90° tilting version is particularly popular for picking glass from storage racks and placing it horizontally onto the IG line washing machine inlet, dramatically reducing manual handling and breakage.
Q6: Is electrical power required? How do you operate it?
No electrical power is required at the lifter. The entire glass vacuum hoist operates solely on compressed air, typically 0.6–0.8 MPa, to power vacuum generation and cylinder lifting, tilting, and rotating. Operators control all movements via a handle or push-button pendant – fully pneumatic, simple and safe.
